  • Engaging students, parents, teachers, and volunteers alike to serve their needs & expectations
  • Inviting and appealing to students through in-class instruction and extra-curricular activities
  • Focused on self-improvement through active parent and volunteer engagement and feedback
  • Your school, as Noor Academy is nothing without its students, parents, teachers, and volunteers

Our Mission:

Our mission is to nurture and develop an engaged and informed Muslim American future generation who will lead in making positive contributions to our society. We provide a fun-filled and learning-focused Islamic environment for our children where they learn, play, and interact with other Muslim children. We teach students the basics of the beautiful religion of Islam in all its aspects of beliefs and actions, building the character of the Muslim child who is living in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment with highly diverse moral values.

Our Goals:

  • Provide Islamic education commensurate with students' age and level of knowledge
  • Be inclusive and accessible to all students to promote diversity and unity while respecting our differences
  • Celebrate Islamic manners and Islamic way of life to encourage positive contributions to our society
  • Utilize engaging teaching methods to impart knowledge of Islam and to foster love of Islam
  • Treat all students (regardless of age), teachers, parents, and volunteers with utmost respect

We strive to provide an engaging environment to students, parents, teachers and volunteers alike to serve their needs and expectations as Muslims in America. We aspire to create an inviting and engaging environment for students through in-class instruction and extra-curricular activities.

We serve over 80 families with over 150 students in 9 different classes. As an indicator of our success, 4 of our teachers were our own students just a few years ago and have returned to teach at the school. 7 of our teachers are UW students or graduates who have grown up in the Puget Sound area and able to connect much more closely with our students and teach them how to be a productive Muslim member of our society.

With the help and support of our community, we continue to work towards helping students celebrate Islamic manners and Islamic way of life as we foster love of Islam and encourage them to become contributing members of our American social fabric. Noor Weekend Academy Sunday School is run 100% by volunteers who commit their time and energy to provide an Islamic learning environment that complements your children’s regular education. The Sunday school would not be successful without the strong commitment of the volunteers and parent. May Allah (SWT) help us in bringing up a strong and knowledgeable next generation of Muslims thorough all of our efforts at the School. We thank you for contributing to the Sunday School and look forward to your children making friends at the Sunday School and learning about Islam in a nurturing and friendly environment.
